I am a black woman with thick, long, chemical-free hair. It is curly/wavy/frizzy and tangles very easily. The JAY shampoo and the Jojoba and Aloe conditioner work wonders for my hair. When I shampoo, I focus on getting my scalp clean moreso than lathering up my hair. The shampoo gets my scalp clean without leaving it dry. I have suffered from extreme itchiness in the last few months, and that has subsided to the point of being virtually nonexistent. The conditioner is an excellent detangler. I notice that the longer I leave it in before rinsing, the more effective it is. I can practically detangle my hair with my fingers alone while the conditioner is in. I rinse with cool water and my hair is curly and shiny. This combination works so well that I have eliminated the regular use of oil as a conditioner on my scalp and hair. If you have 4a texture (those in the know) give this combination of Aubrey products a try. |

Perfect shampoo! I am a fair skinned red-head that can never seem to use anything without some kind of reaction, until I found Aubrey's. I couldn't be happier. My hair looks and feels clean, has a nice shine, and in only a couple of washings, my dry scalp is much better. Less itching, and next to no flaking! It is such a relief to have finally found something that, not only am I not allergic to, but that actually works and works well. Thank you very much for this product. |

I absolutely love this shampoo!! J.A.Y. is the best shampoo I've tried so far. It has a good lather and a subtle scent. It gives my hair the perfect balance. I live in the desert, my hair is very thick and straight. With some hair care products it used to get dry and frizzy, but not with Aubrey's! My hair has never been dry since I've been using this shampoo, it's always very silky and smooth. I would suggest getting the 16oz. bottle. I use J.A.Y. along with Aubrey's GBP conditioner. It is a fabulous combo. Thank you Aubrey. I love your products. |

Hands Down, the best shampoo on the planet! I have used other Aubrey shampoos in the past and while they are all wonderful, they left me longing for lather. I need suds! I was reluctant to try J.A.Y., maybe because I thought it would be the same as the rest. Finally, my best friend and I each went ahead and ordered it. I was the first to try it and I felt the difference the very first time. I called her right away and told her, You're going to LOVE this stuff! She did. It gives the most decadent lather and the smell is terrific. I love that it makes my hair and scalp feel completely clean, yet not stripped or parched. We both use it with the GPB conditioner and once a week with the Aloe & Jojoba. My hair is now soft, shiny and totally manageable. I am a J.A.Y. addict for life! |

This shampoo has become my favorite of all, not just in the Aubrey Organics line. It leaves my scalp in perfect balance and my hair soft, shiny and full of life. Whenever I want to come home, I reach for this shampoo. It's a simple formula, but so, so effective. If you have hair which tends to get dry or just seems out of sorts, definitely try this shampoo. I have had an increasingly itchy scalp for the past five years. Two separate Doctors prescribed two different Shampoos for me to try but both just aggravated the problem. I tried every other over-the-counter product made but still my scalp would itch. Then I read an article about Sodium Laurates and the problems they could create on your scalp, skin, Etc. I was at Vitamin Cottage one night in search of a shampoo that did not contain Sodium Laurates and found your JAY Shampoo and Conditioner. I bought both and literally within one week the itching subsided. I have now been using both for approximately two months and I can't tell you how great my scalp feels. The itching is gone, the flaking is gone, the raised welts are gone. I can't say enough about how much I appreciate your product. I'm even going to be brave and buy a black blouse.
